Make Your Own Mini Ron Paul Blimp! (pics)

How to Make Your Own Mini Ron Paul Blimp.

All the supplies you’ll need:

Step #1: Buy one of several Blimp / Airship Kits available online. Stay away from the UFO style, get the one that looks like the Goodyear blimp:
http://tinyurl.com/2tmzzs or http://tinyurl.com/3cr245
If your Balloon looks like a UFO or it is silver, has writing on it and it is not white then buy the replacement (blank) white balloon: http://tinyurl.com/3×865v – Note how the edges are curved? – that’s important later.

Step #2: Buy a 8.9 cubic foot disposable helium tank at any ‘party’ store or find one at Wal-Mart like I did. If you know of a carbonated beverages supplier they may also lease a real helium tank. Get Helium and try to stay away from hydrogen gas for your airship unless you are working on becoming a homegrown terrorist (the horror! the horror!)http://tinyurl.com/3dmau7

Step #3 Go to a Fast Signs / Signs Now type sign place and ask for them to print /cut out “Ron Paul for President” Stickers on very thin light-weight vinyl. I think it should cost about $30 to $50 per side for a 2-3 foot wide by 1-2 foot tall application in 2 colors. Or you can do as I did and print the stickers you’ll need with a Roland STIKA machine ($900) and get the vinyl and application tape ($50 per 50 foot roll)

Step #4 Fill the Balloon with Helium THEN apply the stickers slowly & carefully. The Sign shop may be able to assist if you are inexperienced in ‘laying vinyl’. As in the photo above the goal is to fill the center area once the baloon is FULL – not the entire balloon when ‘flacid’. * The key to proper application of your stickers is to make sure the stickers are not too large (they should fill the center smooth area and not touch the curved area of the balloon) so MEASURE CAREFULLY! *
There – you have your very own Ron Paul dirigible!

Why we’re screwed in the USA.

Filed under: Dum asses, Politics, neo-cons, social psychology — wisgop @ 5:59 am

Reading the news today about the meeting of the leader of OPEC (the Oil Producing Crazies) it seemed that the Chavez in Venezuela and Muhamberger in Iran were going off on the US dollar. Even some guy from France told one of them to “shut the hell up”. I noticed in an article that King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia attempted to defend the US to some extent – or change the subject.

The Iranian and Venezuelan dictators are basically threatening an embargo against the USA and perhaps $200 per barrel of oil should the US invade Iran. Can they do this?

… well, if Mad Max can pick a fight with some crazies in a post-modern Thunder-dome when why can’t the countries of Iran and Venezuela say “Embargo” ?

Its possible.

And what’s holding them back are other countries with shaky leadership… I looked up this King Abdullah guy because I wanted to know if he was one of those Saudi’s who invite the likes of Ossama Bin-Laden to his wedding. I guess not.. but this article seems to indicate the likes of King Abdullah are not invited to many weddings: http://www.counterpunch.org/ashosama.html

How long before the defenders of the US back off?

Interesting Canadian comments on Ron Paul

Even if mainstream Canadian candidates learn to use the Internet as well as their American counterparts, the real promise of the Web has yet to be grasped: taking common political wisdom and standing it on its head. I want to believe that somebody in Moose Jaw or Truro or Sherbrooke or Scarborough is watching Ron Paul this week — a backbench MPP, or a schoolboard trustee, or somebody who’s never run for office, somebody you and I have never heard of — and thinking up some crazy scheme of their own.

Why Ron Paul has already won

Filed under: Ron Paul 2008, economics, us debt, us dollar — wisgop @ 1:43 am

The battlefield for the Republican presidential nomination has not yet established a clear winner. A few front-runners have been hailed by the usual talking heads of the conservative and mainstream media, however a few second-tier candidates continue to keep their stake in the game alive – at least until the primaries in New Hampshire and Iowa provide some real-world demographics.

Among these candidates you will find one Doctor Ron Paul, a congressman from Texas who is proudly toured by supporters as the “defender” of the Constitution.

Representative Paul’s has sent clear warnings regarding our nation’s fiscal, social, and international policy. He has attracted new crowds of supporters plus a respectable number of donors to his otherwise overlooked presidential campaign.

Today, November the 5th, Ron Paul raised over 4 million dollars in just 24 hours… that’s the new one-day fundraising record for any GOP candidate in the 2008 presidential election! …Not bad for a candidate who’s supporters are down-graded as those who purportedly wear tin-foil hats.

Unlike the typical politician, Ron Paul says what he means and he doesn’t resort to polls or focus groups to perfect his message to the people. Even if one disagrees with the extreme solutions offered by returning the Nation to the levels prescribed by the Constitution, one has to admire Paul and his supporters for their passion and dedication.

One can reasonably argue that the Ron Paul candidacy has done much good for the political dialogue within our nation. At minimum, Ron Paul has reminded the Republican Party that its roots are based on the concept of a limited-government. The other GOP candidates have adopted stronger positions, closer to this core belief only after Ron Paul’s performance.

However unlikely it may seem now, in relation to the huge challenges we will all be forced to face as a nation: the solutions offered by Dr. Ron Paul could someday be viewed by our children and grandchildren as the proper prescription if we truly wished to go forth with this form of government.

For now we are left to contemplate how the coming electoral decision shall affect an uncertain future. Whatever choice we decide, after following the campaign trail ahead, let it not be said we were not fully warned by one Dr. Ron Paul.

Creative Destruction and Pre-emptive War

Filed under: Uncategorized — wisgop @ 12:59 am

I decided to finally sit down and watch the 11 part series on YouTube regarding Dr. Ron Paul’s warning against the Neo-Conservative philosophy. I was shocked when part 7 started, because it mentioned two words that had been on my ‘radar’ just the other day… Creative Destruction.

What this means is that the Neo-Conservatives have used Machiavellian philosophy to justify the invasion of other countries. The term “creative” in that the events are made-up and “destruction” in that we are now at war.

This is very disappointing to me for the context I had heard those two words was pretty much the opposite. A spiritual website described a Hindu God of destruction as one who brings forth newness into the world from the remains of that which is destroyed (or something very Timothy-Leary like that!)

So i decided to see what’s on the URL www.CreativeDestruction.com … I found a successful entrepreneur has the site with a blog and some personal family photos. He has a young daughter and he appears to be of Arab or Indian decent which I think was notable having just shipped off to Iraq! Looking at his resume of accomplishments, was a little confused how an American entrepreneur with political interests and obvious libertarian tendencies would leave his family and enlist in the military?

It saddened me that this man is so dedicated to Neo-Conservative ideal which may kill him. I sincerely hope this man comes back with a new perspective after surviving in the war, seeing things with new eyes, perhaps destroying some beliefs and creating new ones – and I hope he comes back to write about it, prolifically.

Here’s Ron Paul on the topic that brought me to that:

a Message from Ron Paul

Message from Ron Paul

The other day, my old sparring partner in so many Congressional committee hearings, Alan Greenspan, was on the Fox Business Channel. After Alan promoted his new book, the reporter asked if we really needed a central bank. Greenspan looked stunned, and then said that was a good question; he actually talked about fiat money vs. a gold standard. Now, the ex-Fed chairman is not about to endorse our sound monetary policy, but you know our Revolution is working when such a question is asked in the mainstream media, and this powerful man gives such an answer.

You and I are reopening a whole host of questions that the establishment thought it had closed off forever: on war, on taxes and spending, on inflation and gold, and on the rule of law and our Constitution.

A few years ago, I asked a famous conservative columnist a question. What did he think about the prospects for a restored Robert Taft wing of the Republican party? He thought I was joking. As you know, I was not.

After all the aggressive wars, the assaults on our privacy and civil liberties, the oppressive taxation, and the crazed spending and deficits, I believe that many Republican voters are ready to return to our roots. And the big boys feel it too. It is no coincidence that the Republican National Committee invited me to a fundraising dinner involving only “top-tier candidates.”

Some of the opposition claims that I am not a “real Republican,” whereas I am the only one in the race. And our campaign is registering new Republican voters by the boatload. None of my opponents is doing anything approaching that.

Of course, they pooh-pooh our success. “He’s just registering Democrats and Independents and people who have never voted before.” Well, yes. It’s called growth. We are laying the groundwork for the primaries.

All over America, our support is wide and deep and growing, and young people are joining like never before. After the Dearborn debate, I went to the University of Michigan for a rally. 2,000 students turned out, something that has happened to no other candidate this year.

The crowd cheered all our ideas, but especially our opposition to the Federal Reserve, and our support for real money of gold and silver, as the Constitution mandates, instead of prosperity-wrecking fiat money. American politics hasn’t seen anything like this in many decades. It is truly revolutionary.

But time is getting short. We must do massive radio and TV advertising, open many small offices (three in just South Carolina the other day), staff them, pay all the bills, and turn out our vote with massive organizational and phone-bank efforts.

As you know, the blackout is ending; our campaign is starting to get mainstream media attention, thanks to growing donations and volunteers. And contributions are the key to more attention, and to our being able to do the actual work of victory. Good news: our recent green-eyeshade analysis of all the candidates’ net finances, which got so much press attention, shows our campaign as one of only three in the top-tier.

But we must keep moving up, and the Iowa caucuses are now on January 3rd. The New Hampshire primary may be in early December!

As always, everything depends on you. Please, make the most generous donation you can https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/ as soon as you can. I need your help so badly.

The other day, an 8-year-old boy handed me a small white envelope. It contained the $4.00 he had saved from his allowance, as a donation to our campaign. I can’t tell you how seriously I take my responsibility to work hard, and spend frugally and effectively, to be worthy of his support, and yours.

Please help me keep working, even harder and more effectively, for all we believe in. Without you, I’d have to pack it in. Donate now https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/ .  We have more than an election to win. We have a country to save.

Sincerely,

Ron Paul

Mark Belling says Ron Paul is a “Whack Job”

Filed under: Ron Paul 2008, Uncategorized — wisgop @ 11:11 pm

Mark Belling is a Milwaukee Wisconsin talk radio jock (and a guest host of the Rush Limbaugh show) who recently declared Republican Candidate for President Ron Paul as a ”whack job” and then went on to elaborate his support for Rudy Giuliani. It was pretty hilarious to hear Belling predict that conservative Christians are so concerned with the war on terror that they will overlook Rudy’s record on issues which make Christians sick to their stomach.

Nobody’s perfect, let’s argue whether or not some types of imperfection are preferable to other types. I’ll take Paul’s side and agree that extreme cuts in government are preferable to the maintenance of the current size of government due to the wars.

I guess the real question is WHO is the real whack-job; those who dare use the unfortunate events of 9-11 to grow this US Emire or those who are prepared to go back to the constitutional size of the Federal government?

Add this ignorant position and slur upon Ron Paul to the list (is there a list now?) of Belling’s brash statements driven by the man’s conviction that he is always correct.

Time has a way of unravelling things and perhaps he’ll warm up to the idea of limited government someday!

Viva La Revolution!

I Want to Believe.

Filed under: Uncategorized — wisgop @ 12:08 am

I want to believe the things I was taught about our country… that the United States was founded upon great and noble principles such as freedom and liberty and these principles were worth dying for then and are still worth fighting to restore.

I want to believe in the United States Constitution… that this document is as relevant today as it was when it was written, and that our elected leaders understand it’s meaning when they take a solemn oath to follow the Constitution.

I want to believe in solutions without government… that solutions to our problems will never be found in Washington, that we do not need the Federal government to save for our retirement, protect the environment, define what marriage is, or protect us from ourselves or the boogey-man.

I’m not a religious person, however:
I want to believe that freedom comes from a higher power… that there is a higher power than any government – whether you call it God or Jesus or Buddah or Allah or a spaghetti monster or simply faith in the power of LOVE.

I want to believe that anyone can be president… that politicians, big corporations and the media are not owned and controlled by an elite class of people who decide what we hear and see in our daily lives.

I want to believe that Ron Paul will be the next president of the United States of America…
